To keep things exciting with the DP-A 310, a full band or orchestra is always ready to accompany the pianist. This is made possible by the integrated accompaniment function, which adapts independently to the chords played with the left hand. Chord Finger Mode and Full Range Mode

Fingering refers to how chords are input into the accompaniment function. The DP-A 310 E-Piano offers three options. Single fingering allows playing a wide variety of chords by pressing only a few keys. Multifingering controls the accompaniment function by specifying a complete chord. Full-Range recognizes chords not only in the left hand but across the entire keyboard range.

Weighted Hammer Keyboard with Adjustable Touch Sensitivity

The DP-A 310 keyboard with real hammer action simulates the feel of an acoustic piano with traditional mechanics as authentically as possible. The 88 keys offer a certain "natural" resistance when pressed, just like classic acoustic pianos. The keyboard is also touch-sensitive, meaning the tones sound louder or softer depending on how hard you press a key. With various settings ("Touch Response" = touch sensitivity), you can, for example, produce a relatively loud sound even with a gentle touch ("Soft" setting). This feature is especially helpful for the youngest piano beginners. To reliably protect the keyboard from dust, the DP-A 310 includes a keyboard cover.

128-Note Polyphony

Full tonal range, even in the most complex piano passages, is guaranteed by the 128-note polyphony. This allows the E-Piano to play up to 128 tones simultaneously. Thanks to this repertoire of available tones, players can use voices from various music styles, from classical to rock, always with stereo sound.

The "Dual" and "Lower" Functions

The "Dual" function lets you layer two voices—such as strings and piano—on top of each other, creating a particularly impressive, full sound. The "Lower" function allows you to play two separate sounds "side by side." You define the split point yourself. The right hand plays the preset sound, while the left hand is assigned a different sound via the "Lower" button. This way, you can easily play strings with your left hand and piano with your right.

The DP-A 310 as a "Twinova Piano"

Another feature of the DP-A 310 is the ability to split the keyboard into two halves, effectively creating two small, independent keyboards side by side. Unlike "Split," where the keyboard is divided into two areas with different voices assigned, the "Twinova" function creates two separate keyboards with the same scales. Two players can sit side by side and play like on two small independent pianos—a great feature for music students and teachers!

The "Transpose" Function

Want to transpose the DP-A 310 in semitones to play along with instruments in different keys? No problem with the "Transpose" function! Additionally, the Classic Cantabile DP-310 can be finely tuned via the extensive function menu if playing with others is not perfectly in tune.

Metronome

To keep the right beat and tempo while practicing, the DP-A 310 includes an integrated metronome. Both tempo and volume can be adjusted as desired.

Recording Function

The recording function lets you record and playback your own playing. These so-called user songs can contain up to six tracks. This feature is perfect for assessing your piano playing progress.

Harmony

A special feature of the DP-A 310 is the harmony function. It adds various harmony notes to the tones played with the right hand, enriching the melody with harmonic overtones.

Assist Function "Perform"

The DP-A 310 digital piano also features a special assist function with two sounds available: guitar and piano. This easy-to-use function can make playing more interesting for guitarists and keyboardists. The assistant comes preloaded with many wonderful melody sequences that can be triggered by pressing individual notes. Even inexperienced players can create impressive songs this way.

DSP Effects

The built-in digital effects allow you to add ambiance and depth to your music in many ways. For example, you can add reverb to make it sound like you're playing in a large hall, or add extra harmony notes for a fuller sound.

Headphone Jacks and Speaker System

The Classic Cantabile DP-A 310 E-Piano features a powerful 25-watt speaker system. These high-quality speakers and the resonant cabinet deliver a dynamic, powerful sound. For silent practice, the piano can be played through either of the two headphone outputs. Both outputs can be used simultaneously; one mutes the instrument’s speakers when in use, while the other keeps the speakers active.

The "Soft," "Sostenuto," and "Sustain" Pedals

The DP-A 310 digital piano offers three pedals like an acoustic grand piano, allowing you to precisely shape the sound of the pieces you play. The soft pedal on the left and the sostenuto pedal in the middle are played with the left foot. The sustain pedal on the right is the most commonly used, letting all notes ring out. The middle sostenuto pedal sustains only notes already played. The left soft pedal reduces the volume of struck notes and creates a softer tone.

USB Audio/MIDI Interface

The built-in USB audio/MIDI interface allows you to connect the DP-310 E-Piano directly to your computer or MIDI sampler. This lets you use the piano as a master keyboard with all common sequencer programs. Additionally, external devices like an MP3 player can be connected via the AUX IN on the back and played directly through the DP-A 310 speakers. These tracks can be accompanied on the piano simultaneously. The repertoire of beautiful and suitable pieces for practice and play-along is thus limitless. You can also record the piano sound directly on your computer.

The included piano bench offers not only elegant looks but also high-quality features such as sturdy legs with non-slip rubber feet, a smooth, precise spindle mechanism with double scissors system for reliable height adjustment, and a durable, comfortable seat covered in white cord fabric.

Dynamic Stereo Headphones

The included headphones deliver a full, balanced sound with rich bass and clear highs. They offer plenty of volume and precise stereo imaging. The softly padded, wide headband is adjustable in length with 12 steps per side for optimal fit. For extra comfort, the ear cups rotate on two axes. The thick, soft padding of the circumaural cups also provides good external noise isolation. The 3.5 mm stereo jack offers excellent transmission quality, and a 6.3 mm stereo adapter is included.
