With the CF-25GM model, Lechgold presents a solid bassoon for beginners and amateurs. This "Gentleman's Model" is especially interesting for traveling bassoonists and allows you to play in a variety of genres and ensembles.

The scope of delivery includes, besides a compact case, 2 S-bows and care accessories, a MARCA PriMo double reed that makes playing much easier for bassoon beginners or amateurs. It impresses with easy playability and long durability.

Stable and Thoughtful Construction for Optimal Playability

Besides the high-quality finish and balanced intonation, the features that guarantee a pleasant playing feel, stability, and security stand out: These include the socket connections reinforced with brass rings on the bass joint and at the bottom of the wing. A metal clasp between these two parts also prevents unwanted twisting of the instrument and thus accidental damage to the mechanism.

The included balance holder - a metal bar with holes - serves as a "bridge" from the neck strap to the instrument and allows you to find the best holding position for the bassoon: You hook the carrying strap onto the different holes of the balance holder and gradually find your personal setup.

You perfectly balance the instrument; furthermore, this allows an individual adjustment of playing and body posture and the mouthpiece to your body size. This promotes an ergonomic playing position and consequently breathing and air control as well as relief of the entire upper body area.

Lechgold CF-25GM - A "Gentleman's Model"

The bassoon is a large and long musical instrument. Accordingly, the individual parts are long when disassembled - and so is the instrument case. A beneficial exception in the bassoon family is the so-called "Gentleman's Models," which include the Lechgold CF-25GM.

In a Gentleman's Model like the CF-25GM, the bass joint is divided at a different point, making the (normally shorter on regular bassoons) bell slightly longer. The two parts of the bass joint are thus roughly the same length and fit into a less bulky case. Such a compact case resembles a briefcase that a "gentleman" might carry - hence the name "Gentleman's Model."
