Tuner and Tone Generator - There's Truly Something for Everyone!
Chromatic Mode
In the "C" setting, any instrument can be tuned. The detected note is displayed as a letter, while LEDs and the digital needle indicate precise tuning. When the needle is centered, the display color switches from blue to green—making accurate tuning possible even "out of the corner of your eye."
Instrument Mode
The Metro-Tuner has preset modes for Guitar, Bass, Violin, and Ukulele. Unlike the chromatic mode, only the notes possible for the respective instrument and their strings are shown. Beginners especially benefit from this guidance.
Tone Generator
Those wanting to train their ear can practice with reference tones. While the Chromatic Mode outputs all notes of an octave, the instrument modes limit the selection to the strings to be tuned. So you really only hear the tones you want to tune.
Jack Input and Contact Microphone
While the built-in microphone is perfectly sufficient for tuning in quiet environments, it can cause problems in rehearsal rooms and on stage. In this case, simply clip the contact microphone onto the instrument and connect it to the Metro-Tuner's input jack. Detection now works via a vibration sensor that ignores all external acoustic influences. For instruments with pickups such as electric guitar and bass, the input can be used with any standard guitar cable.
Metronome Function
For focused practice and perfect timing, a metronome is indispensable. The MT-60 offers this practice aid over a wide tempo range from 30 to 260 beats per minute. In addition to time signatures "0/4" to "9/4", various rhythm subdivisions provide variety and meet the growing demands on a metronome.
The click is acoustically output via the built-in speaker or the headphone output, which also features volume control. Visual indication is provided by LEDs and the digital needle on the display.
